Better known by his online moniker ‘RJules12’, Ryan has been involved in poker for no less than a decade. He has accumulated around $1 million in tournament winnings on the live circuit and likely more than double this playing online.

Before Black Friday impeded Ryan’s ability to play poker on the virtual felt, the American put in a ton of volume on PokerStars as “RJules12”. Between 2008 and 2010, he was ranked in the top 0.1% of online MTT earners.

Julius still managed to make online poker work for him despite Black Friday. He proved this in 2012 when he became a WCOOP champion after winning the $109 NLH Second Chance event for $52,752.

In terms of his live experience, Ryan predominantly plays within North America with the exception of an occassional trip to play at the PCA. His most significant score – and largest cash from poker to date – was in 2014 when he made the final table of the $10,000 WPT Main Event in Las Vegas. While luck was not on his side at the final table as Ryan made a fourth-place exit, he did get past most players in an extremely competitive line-up featuring Daniel Negreanu, Fabian Quoss and Nick Petrangelo. He also finished directly ahead of Upswing’s Ryan Fee and German poker talent Tobias Reinekmeier to earn a $383,684 payday.
