He may have qualified as a psychologist, but Tristan Wade has made a living and name for himself as a top level professional poker player over the last decade. Wade’s poker resume may not be as long and as stellar as some other players in the game, but with one World Series of Poker (WSOP) Gold Bracelet and five WSOP final table finishes to his name, his resume is more than respectable.

Wade first came onto the professional poker scene at the 2007 WSOP, where he finished in the money in two events including the Main Event. He returned to the WSOP a year later, where he made it in the money in three events, but a Gold Bracelet or even a high bracelet continued to elude him.

He continued to perform solidly in the next few years, doing well in the WSOP and other smaller poker events throughout the US. But it was in 2011 where Wade well and truly made his mark as a player to be reckoned with in the poker world after sensational displays in numerous events throughout that year.

That was the year Wade won his first ever professional live poker event, the DeepStack World Poker Challenge Main Event in the small US desert city of Reno. He also returned to the WSOP, where he finished in the final table of not one, but two events, which resulted in wins of just under US$400,000. He then rounded off 2011 by playing Europe in his first ever professional poker foray outside of the US.

He did even better across the Atlantic, he placed in the money atone event and followed it by winning his first, and currently only WSOP Gold Bracelet after he took out the €3,000 No Limit Hold’em Shootout event. He further asserted himself as a true professional poker player in 2012 after narrowly missing the final table at the WPT Vienna Main Event and going in the money at four events at the 2012 WSOP.

Wade his continued to play well in the highest level poker events since then, having remained a familiar face at events like the WSOP, WPT and the Seminole poker events. He has also done reasonably well in online poker, having taken total earnings of US$1.46 million on PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker under his Cre8ive moniker.
