Among the many successful poker players that have emerged from Russia in recent years is Vyacheslav Igin. He is best known for his achievements on the European circuit, with a plethora of cashes in EPT and WPT events. His first major title win came in the 2011 EPT €2,000 No Limit Hold’em Bounty event in San Remo for $74,451. He has made three other EPT final tables and scored fifteen cashes across events from this series.
His biggest win in monetary terms was in the 2012 EPT €5,000 No Limit Hold’em Six-Max Turbo event. Igin fished in third-place ahead of tournament aficionados Martin Jacobson and David Sands to scoop a six-figure prize of $100,065.
Vyacheslav has been less active in the live tournament scene in recent years and appears to have taken a break from poker.
