French-born Yorane Kerignard has been around on the tournament circuit for over a decade and is a decorated player on the European scene. He came up in the game playing online MTTs, primarily on PokerStars under the screenname ‘viirusss’. He has close to $2,000,000 in tournament earnings on the site, with multiple six-figure scores and major titles to his name. These include a runner-up finish in the Sunday Million for $121,738 and a WCOOP victory in the $320 NLH 6-Max Re-Entry event.

For Kerignard, one of his landmark victories came in 2009 when he shipped The Super Tuesday for $70,200. Although this isn’t the largest of cashes he’s ever pocketed, the win came only a couple of years into his poker career and boosted his bankroll enough for the Frenchman to take to the live circuit and play some of the bigger buy-in events in Europe.

This worked out extremely well for Yorane as he proved to be equally as successful at the live tables as the online ones. In 2010, he got down to the final nine of the EPT Main Event in Copenhagen. While Kerignard didn’t manage to get his hands on the trophy, the fourth-place finish earned him his biggest tournament score to date - $192,234. Most impressively, this score marked Yorane’s third live MTT cash which gave him good reason to believe that he had a bright future on the circuit.

The MTT specialist became somewhat of a familiar face at big EPT tournaments, as he went on to make it back-to-back Main Event final tables in the following two years. In 2011, he finished in sixth at EPT San Remo for yet another six-figure score, while 2012 saw Yorane pick up a huge $341,939 when he made it down to the final four at the EPT Deauville Main Event.

In what was to become Kerignard’s most successful year in poker to date, Yorane won his first major live title when he shipped the €3,000 WPT Malta Main Event. The Frenchman now has over $1,600,000 in live tournament earnings and continues to be competitive force in the poker world today.
