Hungarian tournament enthusiast Zoltan Szabo has been in poker for over a decade now. He began by playing on the live scene locally in Budapest, and a big five-figure score early into his career enabled Zoltan to travel around Europe playing the game that he loved.

In 2011, he won his first live tournament – the CAPT €4,000 Poker EM No Limit Hold’em event in Baden for $206,756. Just a couple of months later, Szabo picked up another six-figure score when he finished runner-up at the $3,000 NLH GSOP Live event in Punta Cana.

He has also made final tables at other events including an EPT high roller and an Aussie Millions tournament. He became more active in the online arena from 2009, playing under the screenname ‘boon79s’ on PokerStars and Full Tilt.

Today, his total live tournament earnings are around the $1,000,000 mark.
