After four years as a professional poker player, Eugene Katchalov had his breakthrough in December 2007 when he won the WPT Doyle Brunson Classic for a payday of $2,482,000.\nHe signed a contract representing Ukraine as a Team PokerStars Pro after winning the PCA High Roller Event in January this year and he continued to win a bracelet this Summer at the WSOP in a Seven Card Stud event.\nJust a week ago, he relocated to Ukraine to be able to take part in PokerStars WCOOP, and he went deep in the Main Event and finished 2nd in the High Roller $10,300 8-game event. In this interview he also tells us a little about his background and his way into poker.
