The European Poker Tour or for short EPT is a series of Poker Tournaments held in Europe and televised by Sunset+Vine and created by John Duthie. The European Poker Tour like it’s counterparts Asia Pacific Poker Tour, and North American Poker Tour, Latin American Poker Tour and UK & Ireland Poker Tour is sponsored and part owned by PokerStars.
The difference between EPT and their competing poker tours was the buy-ins which was the half-size of that of WPT but that soon changed after the Texas Holdem became more popular in Europe.
