A number of poker players have come to the defense of Casey Jarzabek, a Twitch streaming poker pro who was developing quite a following until he accidentally left his stream on after concluding a poker session and began watching pornography on the Internet.

While Twitter and 2 + 2 are both loaded with comments from players - most who found the mistake amusing - Twitch representatives did not see the humor in it. Jarzabek, who goes by the nickname of "Big Dog," had his Twitch account banned.

Players have taken up a campaign to Free Big Dog, hoping that Twitch will relent and allow Jarzabek to once again stream his poker sessions. A good amount of online poker forum and social media posts are from players who have gotten a lot out of the Big Dog's commentary while playing poker on Twitch and are upset that he has been banned.

But not everybody feels the same. If you can believe it, some were offended by the "type" of porn the Big Dog was watching. Apparently, the video that interested him depicted bondage, domination and rape. It led one poster by the name of '+rep_lol' to make this comment:

" i'm all for people gettin their jollies watching gay porn or tranny porn or bukkake parties or whatever the consenting adults are into, but rape porn is just a whole different level. you're being erotically stimulated by a simulation of a sexual encounter in which one party does not consent. that's twisted and ed up, and you need therapy"

Without going into a huge discussion on whether there is a difference between "good porn" or "sick porn," perhaps '+rep_lol' is the one in need of therapy. Whatever turns people on is a matter of taste, and the kind of porn Big Dog likes to watch in the privacy of his own home is certainly his choice. Just remember to turn off the Twitch stream next time - if there is a next time.

Big Dog hopes there will be a next time. He posted the following on 2 + 2 as ' bigdogpckt5s':

" Does whoops cover this? Yes i was watching porn. Yes it was nasty porn lol. No i obviously didnt know it was on stream. No i didnt commit a crime I was watching porn like 99 percent of guys in the world. Yes it was bondage and simulated dominant sex. Again no crime committed there either. Yes it was stupid not to realize I was on stream. Do I hope twitch unbans me? Yes of coarse. Sorry to anyone that was offended not my intentions obviously. Live and learn ya dig?"

If Twitch doesn't allow Big Dog to return, perhaps he can move on over to Google, who is planning a launch of an app and website geared toward live streaming. That will come into play on YouTube as YouTube Gaming sometime this summer.

Incidentally, one 2 + 2 poster claimed to have checked out the porn website favored by Big Dog and his video of choice was apparently the most viewed for that day. Big Dog does indeed have a following!

UPDATE:

It seems that the Twitter campaign brought results, as "Big Dog" tweeted a couple of hours ago that his ban has indeed been lifted:
