$1M GTD ‘partypoker MILLION’ Kicks off This Weekend

This Sunday marks the return of the weekly $1,000,000 guaranteed ‘partypoker MILLION’ tournament after a 13-year hiatus. Only this time, there will be some subtle changes to the format from what the old timers will remember.

Team partypoker’s Jason Koon said:

“When I first started playing online poker, I knew a few players who won the party MILLION and it was an epic goal of mine to get to that position but by the time I started playing stakes that high, the tournament was gone. So I’m happy it’s back and I’m going to do my best to take that tournament down one day.”

New and Improved

Following the feedback that the community has given, it has been decided to aim for the event to be finished by 2am GMT. With many players having to return to work on a Monday morning, or satisfy other commitments, this makes sense. Another great move from partypoker that gives the players what they want.

The revised format sees multiple Day Ones across next week, starting at 20:00 GMT on Sunday, October 27. Two more follow on Tuesday and Thursday at the same time. Players can play as many Day Ones as they need to get into the final session.

Sunday November 3 is when the action heats up. The final Day One will start at 3pm GMT and lead straight into the Final Day at 7pm GMT. This way players who enjoy long sessions can compete in a single tournament, if they so wish.

Players can either go for the direct buy-in of $215 to enter any Day One or the satellite route which might suit you better. It always feels better to get into the action for a cut down price, and with satellites starting from as little as $1.10 there is plenty of opportunity.

Something for Everyone

If satellites aren’t to your taste, and $215 is beyond your bankroll, then you will be delighted to hear that there are a couple of smaller tournaments that will run to the same timetable.

A $22 Mini $200,000 GTD and a $2.20 $20,000 GTD will ensure that no tournament player feels left out. Anybody can get in on the act.

The return of such a great event to partypoker can be celebrated by players of all levels. The online tournament scene is changing and we can trust partypoker to give us what we want.
