2008 WSOP Main Event Chip Bags For Sale On eBay For $10,000!?!

The 49th annual WSOP kicks off this week in Las Vegas, an exciting time for poker players and fans everywhere.

Hoping to capitalize on that excitement are the hawkers of WSOP-related merchandise, as eBay has become loaded with tons of items available for those who are in to collecting poker memorabilia. One particular item caught my eye as I perused the pages and pages of WSOP stuff listed on the website.

"2008 World Series of Poker Main Event HEADS UP CHIP BAGS. EASTGATE DEMIDOV"

You remember the WSOP Main Event of a decade ago that saw Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov bag and tag before coming back the next day to battle heads-up for the title. The chip bags were bought by Scott "kickyourace" Neuman, who apparently had some type of connection to the manager of one of the players.

Neuman hopes that the chip bags will fetch the ridiculous price of $10,000. Perhaps that asking price is a bargain considering that "kickyourace" had the same items up for sale on eBay five years ago at an even more laughable $15,000.

Time is running out to purchase the chip bags, with the auction ending the evening of May 29! So if you've got $10K lying around, head on over to eBay. Or better yet, wait until Neuman comes to his senses and drops the price to about $20.
