$20million GTD EPT Online Set to Kick Off on PokerStars

It’s European Poker Tour (EPT) time once again, and for the first time the legendary tour is taking to the online arena with $20million in guarantees to ensure the best turn up to play – and $3million worth of tickets up for grabs!

Kicking off tomorrow, Sunday November 8th, and running until Thursday November 18th, the EPT Online  festival boasts 20 trophy tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $100-$25,000.  

For players looking to win their way in, there’s a $3,000,000 Ticket Machine, FreeBuy Feeders and even a MiniEPT to ensure every bankroll is catered for. First up though, a quick glance at what the EPT Online is looking to recreate…

The iconic EPT has been running since 2004, when Alexander Stevic took down the inaugural EPT Barcelona Main Event. In the year’s since, the John Duthie creation has paraded a who’s who of the poker world. 

Patrik Antonius, Mike McDonald, Jason Mercier, Victoria Coren-Mitchell (the only two-time winner!), Liv Boeree, John Juanda and Steve O’Dwyer have all topped the Main Event podiums, as the tour crisscrossed the European continent.

Also, the likes of Mike Watson and Maria Lampropoulos have grabbed victory at the EPT’s Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), the Red Spade site running the show since 2011 and taking it from strength to strength.
