It's been too long since we last had a chance to watch super high stakes games on TV. Ever since the shows like High Stakes Poker stopped airing, this type of content has been scarce, mostly limited to games recorded during Aussie Millions which are, admittedly, nice, but it is simply not enough for poker fans.

Enter Poker Central! Announced as the first poker-only television, Poker Central promises to bring non-stop poker action to our screens, and if they continue in the manner they've started last night, we could be in for a real treat.

With WSOP in full swing and a lot of big name pros all in one place, Poker Central gathered a few select players to join their High Roller Cash Game at the Aria, with all the action streamed live on Twitch, with a delay of just half an hour.

The game in question is $400 / $800 with a $200 ante and a buyin of at least $250,000, so the action last night, which will no doubt continue in the next couple of days, was really amazing. Last night's lineup featured Phil Ivey, Jennifer Tilly, Antonio Esfandiari, Doyle Brunson, Jean-Robert Bellande, Johnny Chan, Bob Bright and the wild-card Matthew Kirk.

The actual show will be aired later, in October, with selected hands and commentary, while the airing on the Twitch is a bonus where fans get to see all the action as it goes down. The commentary was done by popular streamers Jaime Staples and Andre 'Gretorp' Hengchua and while this was Jaime's first time doing this kind of commentary, he handled the pressure quite well. Randy 'nanonoko' Lew also joined in at one point

However, there is always something to make sure the story is not too good to be true, and in this case it's the hole cards, which are not shown. This is, of course, a big disappointment for the viewers, but considering how high the stakes are, the players simply did not feel comfortable sharing that information while the game was still going.

The cameras were also not set up perfectly to show the cards at the showdown, which caused some rage over on 2 + 2, but as some posters pointed out well - this is a bonus and while things are not perfect, it still beats nothing by a lot.

Another thing that many fans might enjoy is the fact that there hasn't been too much commentary and instead you can listen to table banter and talk, as all players are mic-ed up and while the minimum buy-in is $250k, most players bought in for more, with Antonio Esfandiari bringing a cool million to the table. Antonio also ended up a big winner last night.

The action will continue tonight at the Poker Central official Twitch channel, so if you are looking for some poker entertainment make sure to tune in and follow the action. With all the money at the tables, some big pots are bound to happen; last night saw a fair share of action as well.

Despite of some negative feedback, which can't be avoided in the poker world (or anywhere else for that matter), I'll use a famous quote from a very famous player to conclude - so sick!
