Tom Holke became the new Eureka Poker Tour Champion after he won Eureka5 Hamburg €1,100 Main Event in Spielbank Schenefeld casino. Dressed in all accessories that match the colors of German flag, Holke won the first place prize of €107,920.

Tom Holke from Berlin managed to beat the field of 581 players that fought for the title in newly refurbished Spielbank Schenefeld Casino. The first Eureka Poker Main Event ever held in Germany has attracted most unique entries ever with the Eureka Main Event field creating the prize pool of €563.570.

44 year-old has been enjoying poker for seven years as an amateur player and this win comes as a crown of his efforts so far.

6 players came back for the final table, with five of them playing on the home soil. John Forst from Austria was appropriately first to go, leaving in sixth place. Eliminations of Nils Maibaum and Armin Eckl followed shortly, leaving Holke, who sees poker as nothing more than a hobby, with around two thirds of the chips in play.

Dominating the final table Holke sent Steffen Kessler out in third place when Kessler's pocket kings failed to hold against Holke’s Ace-Jack. The heads-up stage was ready, but it would prove to be a rather short affair.

It only took 12 hands of play before Alexander Lemme moved all in from the button with ace-seven but luckily for Holke, Lemme’s hand couldn’t find a way back against, once again, Ace - Jack. Alexander could only shake the hand of his opponent and Eureka Poker Tour champion was crowned.

Lemme, who banked €67,100, alsoclaimed his career’s biggest result in Hamburg, Germany

Holke, who easily had the most interesting apparel at the final table, with colored accessories including black-red-yellow hat, certainly deserved the title as he dominated the final table with style of play that his opponents weren’t able to exploit. Despite the fact that Holke views poker as a hobby he played like he knew he was going to win and he visibly enjoyed every moment of the play.

44 year-old from Berlin takes home the first place prize of €107,920 and a prestigious title of the Eureka Poker Tour Champion.
