Sugar House Casino Makes a Sweet Deal with Phil Hellmuth?

Sugar House Casino has announced its first major poker tournament that will take place from April 23-27. Great advert for Philly’s first $100,000 guaranteed Poker Showdown tournament is the announced presence of Phil Hellmuth, known as the 'Poker Brat".
Hellmuth, who holds the world record for most in the money finishes at the WSOP and is one of the most recognizable poker players in the world will be visiting Philadelphia’s Sugar House Casino as a guest of honor. The pro hasn't yet officially confirmed that he would participate in the Poker Showdown tournament but his presence would certainly be a great advert for Philadelphia’s first and only live poker room.
Sugar Casino is one of five stand-alone casinos in Philadelphia, which was opened in December 2014. Since then, the casino has increased its range of games and features 1,602 slots, 54 table games and various dining options.
Sugar House Casino will also host Poker Night in America for the first time from April 26 - 28. Poker Night in America, which has broadcast agreement with CBS Sports Network, is set to feature Phil and numerous poker pros. The full list of poker pros who are planning to participate has not yet been released.
Ross Cook, casino’s vice president of gaming said that the show will bring a full television crew which is a great opportunity for locals to show their talent. Three days of high-stakes cash games will be streamed online and recorded for later viewing. One of the days will include Ladies Night II, popular ladies - only televised cash game.
PNIA has signed agreement with CBS Sports Network in 2014. Dedicated to showing cash games and mix of professional poker players and amateurs, PNIA wants to make poker fun. Phil Hellmuth has already appeared on the show which has attracted many famous poker players including Todd Brunson, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly and Vanessa Selbst.
Well known for his temperamental and “brat-like” personality, Hellmuth's will undoubtedly attract more guests to Philly’s first major poker tournament. Famous poker player who was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame in 2007 became the youngest player to win WSOP Main Event in 1989 by defeating the reigning champion Johnny Chan in the heads-up play.
According to Hendon Mob, his total live earnings stand at $18,285,371. Phil makes public appearances and gives inspirational speeches all over the States and he is also an author of the book ”Play Poker Like The Pro’s”, which was the New York Times bestseller.
