After 2015 APT Cambodia was officially cancelled weeks ago due to the scheduling conflict, it has been recently announced that the tournament will still be take place but at a later date. CEO of Asian Poker Tour, Jeff Mann was very upset when sudden change to the PokerStars schedule led to the clash of dates with APPT Macau because initially events were supposed to be held on different dates.

APT Cambodia was supposed to take place on May 26th to June 3rd 2015 but after rescheduling it will take place from October 20 - 28 2015. The event will be held at Queenco Hotel & Casino on one of the most exotic beaches of Sihanoukville. The new dates for the event were announced by Queenco’s general manager Aharon Gini at the launch party of PokerQueenco.

AJ Brock, owner and the operator of Poker@Queenco wants to continue the relationship with the APT and he plans to bring back world-class poker to Cambodia. He was very disappointed when the May APT event was cancelled but he believes that the event in October will be better than ever.

APT Cambodia 2014 was also held at Queenco Hotel & Casino where 191 players, who represented 40 nationalities, took their seats. Judging by the feedback from the players, an increase of at least 50% is expected for the upcoming event.

To avoid other poker events in the region, the event will take place in October and those who involved are hoping that no one will announce changes in their published schedules that might affect APT Cambodia once again. Jeff Mann has explained that they should not have been forced to change date of the event but he believes that it would be a huge mistake for both players and the tour to put it up against APPT Macau.

Asian Poker Tour, founded in 2008, held its first tournament at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City, Philippines the event was won by the Australia based player David Saab. After the Philippines, APT held another major event in Macau which was won by Yevgeniy Timoshenko. To date, APT has staged 31 major events and numerous smaller tournaments in Asia’s most popular destinations like Macau, Cambodia, Korea and Philippines.
