Another online gaming company has re-entered the English Premier football League after the signing of a sponsorship deal between Mansion Group and AFC Bournemouth.

The Gibraltar-based online gaming company, which operates Mansionpoker.com, is no stranger to the English Premier League, having previously been a major sponsor for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

Mansion Group’s logo will be prominently featured on the jerseys of AFC Bournemouth players during their games, much like they were during Mansion’s sponsorship of Tottenham in the mid-2000s.

Mansion Group CEO Sagi Lahav said that he looked forward to working with the AFC Bournemouth club throughout its first ever season in the Premier League.

We have been impressed by the recent performance and promotion of AFC Bournemouth, and look forward to partnering with them for their first season within the English Premier League

While AFC Bournemouth do not possess the popularity of English clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool or Chelsea, the club will have a lot of attention on them in the upcoming season. The key reason for that will be the first time the side will play in England’s top premier league in its 125 year history.

AFC Bournemouth have also had an almost fairytale run over the last few years, largely as a result of stellar coaching of Eddie Howe, who received the first ever Football League Manager of the Decade award.

At first glance, the decision of Mansion Poker to re-emerge in the Premier League appears weird given that the company announced its exit from the UK market late last year. However, the English Premier League remains one of the most popular football leagues, and is watched by millions of people throughout the world.

So while its sponsorship of AFC Bournemouth may have little direct impact in the UK, Mansion are likely betting on the potential of their brand being noticed by international football fans who may catch a Bournemouth game on television.

Because of that, the move to sponsor the newly promoted club is a smart one for Mansion Group as it will almost certainly increase its brand awareness among potential online gamers.
