Chris Moorman is an online poker legend with lifetime earnings of over $12 million on the virtual felt. His results on the live tournament tables are overshadowed by his amazing stats accumulated online, but perhaps shouldn't be.

Moorman also has another $4 million in live career earnings on his resume, including two cashes of over $1 million. Last year, he topped a field of 534 in the $10,000 WPT LA Poker Classic Main Event and scored a payday of $1,015,460. In 2011 at the WSOP Europe in Cannes, Moorman missed out on capturing gold in the €10,400 Main Event, having to settle for 2nd place and the accompanying prize of $1,068,690.

The WSOPE near-miss was Moorman's second finish just shy of a WSOP title, as four months earlier he secured 2nd place prize money of $716,282 in the $10,000 NLHE Six-Handed Championship in Las Vegas. Two weeks prior to that, the 29-year-old landed in 3rd place in another six-handed WSOP event, earning $271,800 in the process, HendonMob reported.

Moorman cashed only once at the 2014 WSOP, finishing 116th in a $3,000 event for $5,145. That followed four WSOP cashes a year earlier that included a final table appearance and $44,227 in prize money for finishing 5th in a $1,500 NLHE Ante Only event.

All told, Chris Moorman cashed 21 times in WSOP tournaments since 2008, reaching the final table four times. He is no doubt looking to erase the memory of a disappointing 2014 at the WSOP and to go back home with gold on his wrist.

Will this be the year that Moorman finally wins that elusive WSOP gold bracelet? Don't bet against it, as the talented and likeable Brit will do so one day (likely more than once) and the 46th annual WSOP that kicks off later this week may be the time and place.
