Once again we had quite a fun week at the high stakes tables on both Full Tilt and PokerStars. Some walked away winners, others played the role of donors, but what's important is that railbirds had plenty to enjoy.
Alexander âjosioâ Kostritsyn was a big winner in Mondayâs games. A long day at the PokerStars 2-7 TD tables saw him eventually walk away with a profit of $205k, according to HighStakesDB. The action was fueled by the presence of the one and only Gus âbroksiâ Hansen who, despite the sharks circling, managed to walk away with a small profit of around $19,000.
Apart from Kostritsyn, there were no other big winners on Monday, with âdonthnrmeplsâ taking second place on the profit leaderboard after finishing the day $54k to the good.
Tuesday was marked by a big confrontation between âthecortsterâ and Elior âCrazy Eliorâ Sion. The duo clashed at the PokerStars 2-7 TD tables and after about four hours of play, âCrazy Eliorâ was up $157k.
As for Kostritsyn, the Russian changed his battle ground but continued his winning ways, banking $105,000. âPostflopActionâ took on Phil âOMGClayAikenâ Galfond at the Full Tilt 2-7 Triple Draw tables and things did not really work out for Galfond despite persevering for nine hours straight. Other Tuesday winners were âCarlooo13â and âTrueteller,â who banked $67.5k and $56.6k, respectively.
Losing to Kostritsyn did not deter Galfond and he was back for more action on Wednesday. This time around, his opponent was the German pro âSanIker.â As it turned out, a new opponent didnât do much good for âOMGClayAikenâ as he dropped another $164k.
âCrazy Eliorâ continued to run hot as he made a profit of $141k from the 8-Game tables at Full Tilt where he took on Dan âjungleman12â Cates. Jungleman did make up some of his losses, however, as he jumped over to PokerStars and made just shy of $63k playing as âw00ki3zâ against Ben âSauce123â Sulsky.
âCrazy Eliorâs winning streak continued on Thursday as he banked another $181k. All of his profit came from âHoldemJill9â as the two played more than 1,000 hands at the 8-Game tables. There were no other six-figure winners, as second place on the leaderboard, âkkopghy,' took $87k off the tables.

Friday saw only one big winner on both Full Tilt and PokerStars and that was Viktor âIsildur1â Blom. The Swede made $117k from his encounters with âCarlooo13â on Full Tilt, while on PokerStars he took on âRavenswood13â and made most of his $112k winnings against that opponent. In total, âIsildur1â finished the day up almost $230k.
The final day of play for this reporting period took place on Saturday and âbbvisbadformeâ emerged a big winner after a short session against âthecortster,' The two took it to the 2-7 TD tables and after about 40 minutes of play, âthecortsterâ was $159k lighter.
Viktor Blom also had a winning day, adding $56k to his bankroll.
Summa summarum
Alexander Kostritsyn had a big week as he added $519k to his roll. He split his winnings between PokerStars and Full Tilt as both sites proved profitable for the Russian.
Elior âCrazy Eliorâ Sion had a decent week as well, banking just shy of $200k, while Viktor âIsildur1â Blom ended with $150,000 to the good.
Things did not go too well for Phil âOMGClayAikenâ Galfond, as he lost $272k. The majority of his losses came from Full Tilt, with about $40k dumped at PokerStars.
Dan âJungleman12â Cates and Gus âbroksiâ Hansen also booked six-figure losses of about $110k.
