If you’ve been keeping an eye on our weekly traffic reports, then the name of Adjarabet probably rings a bell. This Georgian online poker room saw a significant surge in traffic during a few weeks late in 2014 but the increase was not long lived.

However, this until very recently stand alone room could see another surge in its traffic, as it has become a part of one of the biggest online poker networks on the market, Microgaming. In the press release from earlier today, the MPN confirmed that the Georgian room will be coming on board shortly.

Adjarabet’s standalone software, which was developed in cooperation with the development house ‘Singular’, has been ‘plugged in’ to Microgaming servers using their Bablefish API, which will help significantly with decreasing the costs for the Georgian company.

Alex Scott, Head of Poker at Microgaming, expressed his excitement about this latest partnership explaining that this is the first time that a project like this was put in motion. It is common practice for rooms joining a network to adapt already existing software solutions and this is the first time that already existing software is being plugged into a poker network.

Alastair Ives from Adjarabet further explained how the Bablefish API was exactly a type of solution they were looking for in order to be able to join a big network without all the hassle connected with the migration to a new software platform.

Apart from the Adjarabet players joining Microgaming player pool very soon, another exciting change that will be introduced as a result of this partnership is the new stop for the MPN Poker Tour in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

About Bablefish API

Bablefish API is the first Application Programming Interface in the poker industry. Created and presented by Microgaming earlier this year, it provides for an easy and simple way for existing ipoker clients to be integrated into existing networks and server systems.

The interface is able to translate any programming language significantly facilitating access to Microgaming Poker Network. Adjarabet is probably the first in the series of smaller rooms that will now be able to join the network without the complications that existed in the past.

The first transition of this kind has reportedly been performed without any bigger issues and Adjarabet players should soon be able to enjoy all the benefits of the MPN offering.
