Alex Foxen Breaks Down Phil Hellmuthâs Insane Q4o Call

Alex Foxen has broken down the insane hand he played against Phil Hellmuth at the high-stakes 2022 US Poker Open where the Poker Brat called off his stack with Q4o.
Was this the âworst call in historyâ? The X/Twitter comments were mixed but there really wasnât any discernible justification for making the loose call.
At a $25,000 buy-in event, we really expect to see every hand played in the most serious fashion. Was Hellmuth tilted after his three-bet bluff was called and just couldnât let Foxen have the pot?
Foxen starts the one-minute clip by saying that Phil Hellmuthâs results are hard to argue with, but he does a lot of things that donât make any theoretical sense.
He adds that a lot of things Hellmuth says also donât make any sense from a theoretical standpoint. Unless someone can find a proper definition of âWhite Magicâ in a poker book somewhere.
Regarding the hand, Foxen says that Hellmuthâs bet size was way too big for his stack size, leaving him with a confident feeling he had nothing.
Foxenâs face after Hellmuth makes the call was a picture, too. Check out the clip below for a full replay of the hand.
While Twitter was debating if this was the worst call in history, another debate was started: is Foxen the best live pro around today?
"Foxen is probably the best MTT player today but looking to theory to explain every second of every hand is wild. White Magic baby.â
Heâs definitely in the conversation.

ââI hope you have a little more respect for me now that I spiked a 3-outer & sucked out on you.â Classic arrogant luckbox Phil. Makes a bad play and brags when it magically works outâ
