The Rio opened the doors to the Amazon Room at 09:00 on the 29th May 2018 for the 49th annual World Series of Poker. The first event was at 13:00, the $250 Daily Deep Stack, a non-bracelet event to keep the low rollers busy while the big boys wait for the $10k turbo to start.

But it would seem that for Allen Cunningham waiting another twelve hours for the bracelet events was testing his patience so he dropped a quarter at the cage for the very first event of this years series and ended up starting his summer with a first place finish.
