He is already one of the most-respected interviewers and podcasters in the poker world and now Joe ‘Chicago Joey’ Ingram has a new show to add to his award-winning CV, an as yet untitled one hour stint on the ‘Live at the Bike’ TwitchTV channel.
Ingram’s Poker Life Podcast is one of the must-watch and most-watched poker shows on the internet, the PLO expert managing to persuade almost everyone of note in the poker world onto his show, his casual and humorous interviewing style generally extracting the maximum of information from his guests.
Usually a ‘go it alone’ kind of guy, Chicago Joey decided that:
"I would gamble a bit in 2017 and be open to more collaborations if I felt like it was a good opportunity", having explained "I’ve been creating poker content for about 3.5 years now and I’ve rarely worked together with any poker related companies for a number of different reasons."
Of his new show, he revealed he would be ‘talking about what’s going on in poker, some strategy, interacting live with the chat, taking questions, answering some questions, maybe doing some call ins as well, and from time to time, having on some guests.”
The collaboration has come about after Ingram was approached by Ryan Feldman, former ESPN basketball researcher and now producer at Live at the Bike, earlier this year, with Ingram revealing:
"I like the direction that the company is going and I think that the content they provide to the poker world is something that people really enjoy."
In the run-up to his debut show last week he took to Twitter to enlist the help of fans and followers in finding a name for his new hour-long show, a dangerous appeal give the internet’s ability to produce some wonderfully-abusive comments…
…but it seems that ‘Out of Line with Papi’ in some form or another is likely to be adopted, the OOL being one of Ingram’s favourite phrases when he dissects poker hands.
It’s not just ‘Live at the Bike’ which has persuaded Ingram to spread his talents wider afield, a prop betting reality program called Major Wager also featuring him as host – and it’s likely that he’ll continue to be one of the most sought-after poker content providers given his talents and connections in the poker community.
