BERRI SWEET Wins $418K at Online Poker in November
06 Dec

There still seems to be plenty of money floating around in the online nosebleed games – and Berri Sweet has taken the lion’s share of it this past month with a $418,381 upswing which included winning 4 of the 5 biggest pots in November.

The anonymous online crusher has been a regular at the highest stakes online since the summer of 2012 and seems to be happy to take on the biggest names in the game – including Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom who was the ‘victim’ in a $169,984 pot which helped Berri towards his incredible year-to-date winnings of more than $1.8million according to

The PLO maestro managed 161 sessions and over 10K in hands. More than anyone else except for Blom and ‘EEE27’ – both of whom ended up with huge losses for the month, although Blom is still among the year’s biggest winners, up $1,230,486 overall.

Close behind ‘Berri Sweet’ in the winner’s circle was Ben ‘Sauce123’ Sulsky – a chunk of his monthly $339,755 profit coming at the expense of Blom in the 8-game tables, the Swede having the swingiest of times in his usual style.

Blom, of course, is known to take on all-comers at all stakes and pretty much all games and he started December in better fashion, being the weekend’s biggest winner.

He took $199,527 from a trio of regulars in the online nosebleeds, Highstakesdb reporting that: ‘After nearly 8 hours away from the tables Isildur1 was back around breakfast time where he faced off against German pro donthnrmepls at the $1k/$2k 2-7 Triple Draw tables. The pair played for an hour and a quarter with Isildur1 winning from the very first hand and barely taking a back-step on his way to a $120,664 win from 219 hands.’

If Berri Sweet has somehow managed to keep his identity hidden over the past half-decade, Blom certainly hasn’t – the Swede finally being unmasked as the real-life figure behind the ‘Isildur1’ account at the 2011 Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure.

Earlier this year the ‘LLinusLLove’ account was unveiled as belonging to Swiss pro Linus Loeliger, who explained afterwards:

"I prefer to stay out of the spotlight, because usually there's nothing good coming from it, especially in the poker scene."

Whether the real person behind ‘Berri Sweet’ ever becomes public knowledge is a story for another day, but for the time being he is the one that everyone is gunning for in the high stakes online world – but it will take a highly-skilled and very brave poker player to knock him off his perch.
