It’s not often you see BigTimeBill and Monica Lewinsky sharing the same table – not since Clintongate that is! -  but Global Poker’s Sunday Scrimmage saw the pair finish deep in the money, the impostors taking a chunk of the SC$42,600k prizefund at the weekend…

Humorous poker nicknames aside, the Sunday Majors on the unique US-facing site were a happy hunting ground for 72 players in total, so let’s take a look in detail at the Sunday Teaser, followed by the Sunday Scrimmage…

Sunday Teaser

The early afternoon opener saw 188 entries to the SC$110 buy-in tournament, an SC$18.8k prizepool split among 36 of the hopefuls.

As usual it was a ‘panAmerican’ bunch who were flying high, players from Florida to California fighting it out at the final table for supremacy. Once the Illinois duo of Thakid5 and BEATDABEST fell in 4th and 5th respectively, it was SC$2k+ paydays for the final threesome.

Tennesseean BucYeah likely screamed his own name out as he edged Warrick28 and GoldFishShark at the top of the podium, a SC$3,835 payout to add to the bankroll.

Sunday Scrimmage

Moving onwards and upwards, the Sunday Scrimmage is the Sunday evening blockbuster on Global Poker, and 213 entries produced a whopping SC$42,600 prizefund – again 36 players looking at a min cash…

BigtimeBill couldn’t overcome MonicaLewinsky, the Texan having to settle for 9th spot – while his aptly-named fellow final tablist managed a 6th place finish and almost SC$2000.

This left a disparate bunch of US players fighting it out for the top 5 spots, and eventually it was Ohio’s Coffee4Closers who took the top spot – a sweet SC$8,690.40 after a 5 and a half hour battle.

Florida’s PrinceAliBaba will be comforted by the SC$4800 or so 3rd place prizemoney, and while PhillipIvey might not be in the same poker league as his namesake, the Arkansas man’s runner-up spot and SC$6,390 is a good start to following in the legend’s footsteps.
