It might be a drop in the ocean for the multi-billionaire hedge-fund manager, but it still had to hurt Bill Perkins when he walked straight into a $200,000 ambush during PokerNight in America’s $100/200 high-roller cash game!

The 47-year old amateur poker player can often be seen testing his mettle on the felt against the world’s best, high-stakes tournaments replicating the buzz of his high-flying business life, but taking on the likes of Jason Mercier, Matt Berkey and Mustapha Kanit proved to be a tough task for the likeable philanthropist.

With Mercier acting as the bank for some reason, doling out chips like confetti to his fellow nosebleed players, the biggest hit of the night in Hollywood (the Florida version that is) started innocuously enough.

As commentators Matt Glantz and Chino Rheem explained it, however, just prior to this hand Berkey had been bluffed off his own top pair by Perkins, but Bill needs to know that top pros rarely make the same mistake twice!

Not that it seemed to phase the billionaire businessman famous for his prop bets with the likes of Antonio Esfandiari and Dan Bilzerian, as he simply borrowed another $200,000 from Jason Mercier’s kitty and continued on his merry way at the table!
