The rumors have been confirmed. Jason Somerville and Ultimate Poker will be parting ways. During his latest live stream Somerville explained the entire situation that has been talked about a lot lately, confirming that his cooperation with Ultimate Poker has come to an end for the time being.

Popular host of the ā€˜Run it UP’ show took couple minutes out of his live stream on Twitch to answer some questions regarding the situation coming from his numerous fans. Although some people were expecting a big drama, Somerville was quite moderate in explaining the reasons that led to ending the cooperation.

Although Ultimate Poker was very interested in taking exclusive rights for Jason’s ā€˜Run it UP’, in light of their earlier success with the ā€˜Me vs U’ show, things took a wrong turn when the room had to leave New Jersey. Ultimate Gaming, parent company of the Ultimate Poker, announced ten days ago that they would be leaving New Jersey market. The decision was brought because of multiple contract breaches by Trump Taj Mahal Associates, the land based casino license holder.

This was, no doubt, a big financial hit for the company and, as a result, they were not able to offer Somerville the conditions he would be happy with. The original agreement was going to see Ultimate Poker license Season 2 of ā€˜Run it UP’ exclusively for their site but it failed to materialize.

Jason explains that there was no animosity or big fight or anything of the sort. Simply, the offer he was given was not to his satisfaction, and he explained it in his own words.

There was no like screaming, yelling, it wasn’t like talking to my mother circa 2002 or anything like that. It was all fine, it was just like ā€˜I’m not a cheap date. I don’t need no man in my life’. I didn’t want to take whatever.

Regardless of the situation, he expressed his gratitude to Ultimate Poker, explaining past year and a half as the most fun time in his life. Somerville explained that the door remains open for some sort of future cooperation and that they were just ā€˜opening their relationship’.

Many fans expressed their support for Somerville, stating that he was one of the few people truly deserving a sponsorship, and this seems to be a mutually shared sentiment within the community. That, combined with the quality of the ā€˜Run it UP’ show, means that Jason will probably get a new offer real soon.

Good news for all the fans of the show is that ā€˜Run it UP’ will continue as planned and there will be no changes on that front. The show was never really owned by the Ultimate Poker and this latest development will not affect future of the series in any way.

The show must go on!
