The 2020 Presidential nomination race may be over for Andrew Yang, but he went out with a bang after teaming up with Daniel Negreanu for a Townhall and some poker afters in Las VegasâŚ
Democrat Yang has become something of a cause celebre in the poker world as the only candidate from either party to openly support nationwide legalisation of online poker.
In December, one of his biggest fans, Daniel Negreanu, hosted a âBet on Yangâ fundraiser in Vegas, and this week he was back again in the Yang Gang âvice president-chairâ as they fielded public questions at Yangâs final Townhall of the campaign.
The âlovefestâ that Yang says was such an uplifting part of his campaign was reflected in the poker community when he tweeted in October of last yearâŚ
Although Yang had the support of many people throughout his run at the Democratic Party nomination, he had to admit defeat earlier this week.
âI am the math guy, and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race,â he told supporters on Tuesday in New Hampshire. âSo, tonight, I am announcing that I am suspending my campaign.â
His unique ideas and approach to politics, however, may well see him come back for a second shot in 2024. If he does, it looks like KidPoker will be right there with himâŚ
