While the Full Tilt remission process for U.S. players has made considerable headway with almost $100 million disbursed to date, players with disputed claims will likely be waiting until the first quarter of 2015 before receiving reimbursement.

Poker Players Alliance Executive Director John Pappas revealed that information recently at the 2 + 2 thread devoted to discussing the latest goings-on in the Full Tilt remission process. Pappas spoke with DoJ reps recently and dutifully posted his findings at the popular online poker forum.

Those findings indicate that disputed claimaints who fail to "provide sufficient or clear evidence" of the dispute will likely receive an email within two months detailing the unclear issues regarding their claim. Adequate time to respond with clarity regarding the information required shall be afforded to those claimants.

Disputed claimaints who receive no such notification in 60 days can assume that their claim has landed in one of two categories. The first category belongs to those players who requested a cashout either just prior to or directly after Black Friday and the request failed to be completed. A determination still has to be made by the DoJ on establishing a time frame on accepting such cashouts "without the player having to provide additional documentation."

The second category pertains to "small discrepancies" found in the claim. What exactly constitutes "small" has not been determined, but should a claim land in this batch, Pappas believes that no further investigation will be required and DoJ approval may commence.

Any decisions made by the DoJ with regard to the amount requested either approved or denied can be appealed by claimants who happen to not agree. This is likely a whole new process that will undoubtedly delay payment to a greater extent.

While it appeared that the Full Tilt remission process was rolling along quite nicely considering that about $95 million has found its way to roughly 33,000 players, Pappas said that "there is still much work for Garden City to complete." The PPA honcho admits that the "wait has been torturous" for players who are still on the hook, but stresses patience as it may be some six months before disputed claimaints see their cash.

On the bright side, the next wave of payments totaling about $2 million should arrive in the bank accounts of around 600 undisputed claimants this week. Those players can expect their funds some time from Wednesday, Sept. 24 through Friday the 26th.
