It's not every day that you see a Grammy winner make a final table in a poker tournament, but Anton Zaslavski - better known as DJ Zedd - did exactly that in a €2,150 buy-in turbo event at PSC Barcelona.

Zedd finished 3rd among 226 entries for a payday of €44,000 ($51,823), falling two places short of the title and the first place prize of €92,700 ($109,181) that went to Finland's Pasi Sormunen. Landing between Zedd and Sormunen in second place for €62,400 ($73,494) was another Finn, Jorma Nuutinen.

PokerStars extended a special invitation to Zaslavski to play in the €5,300 buy-in Main Event in Barcelona and the 27-year-old accepted the offer. Zedd couldn't spin his way to an in the money finish in that tournament, but the DJ did record his first live cash in the side action.

Zaslavski admitted feeling excitement at the poker tables, "experiencing the atmosphere and playing against some of the world’s greatest poker players.”

Mixing Poker and Music

In addition to exhibiting his poker prowess, Zaslavski rocked the crowd at the PSC Barcelona Player Party held at Opium Barcelona. Players were welcomed to the festival with 90 minutes of electronic dance music from the DJ extraordinaire.

Born in Russia and raised in Germany, Zedd has worked with singing stars such as Ariana Grande and Alessia Cara. He produced "Stay" with Cara, which reached no. 7 on Billboard's Hot 100.

Zaslavski co-wrote "Clarity" by "Foxes" and took home a Grammy for Best Dance Recording for his efforts. He made a cameo appearance in a video of the song, which has been watched on YouTube over 202 million times.

The popular DJ has almost six million Twitter followers. He also recently appeared in a photo on the Instagram account of Liv Boeree, alongside her and Igor Kurganov. The trio were celebrating Kurganov's victory in the  €50,000 Super High Roller in Barcelona, which added €1,084,100 ($1,273,165) to the Russian's live tournament winnings that have since topped $14 million.

What better way to celebrate Igor's win than partying in the DJ booth with @zedd ?! #PscBarcelona
