Season 11 of European Poker Tour has found its way to England’s capital. Action went underway on October 8 with the Day 1A of the £770 UKIPT Main Event. That one attracted 1,089 players many of whom have fallen in the battle and only 51 of them still remains with the hopes of making the final table tomorrow.

Sunday will be a double joy for poker fans and players alike as apart from the UKIPT final table, the Main Event of the EPT London stop will get under way. With the buy-in of £4,250, this event is guaranteed to attract some of the biggest names in the poker universe as European Poker Tour title is amongst the most coveted achievements on the tournament circuit.

The play starts at 12:00 PM (UK time) and we at PokerTube will be around to give you glimpses of the action as it goes down. With the help of all available resources including our team in the field – PokerTube presenter Rikard Abergand cameraman Richard Brunner, Twitter, PokerStars Blog and anything and everything else we can get our hands on, we will try to bring the atmosphere of the EPT to your desktops, laptops, phones and tablets.

The Main Event of an EPT is a serious matter and it will take almost a full week before the final table concludes on Saturday. Robin Ylitalo of Sweden took home the title and the prize money of £560,980 and he will no doubt look to achieve the unfathomable and defend the title.

We are most certainly in for a treat, as best of the best will once again gather on the green felt to fight for the prestigious title and, undoubtedly, a big first prize. We will probably see Andre Lettau somewhere in the field, as he will be coming on the heels of his victory in the anniversary 100th EPT event in Barcelona back in August.

One of the rare regular EPT stops, London event has grown over the eleven seasons from offering the first prize of £200,000 in Season 1 (won by John Shipley) to nearly tripling that last year and it will, no doubt, continue to grow. And why wouldn’t it.

Except for the competition, big prize pools and poker at its best, European Poker Tour has always been known to offer its players great overall experience and going out of its way to make their lives easier. And then again, there is poker. With multitude of events of different buy-ins and variations, there is something for everyone, and most of those visiting will do everything they can not to miss the big – the Main Event.

We are now less than 24 hours away from the start and as cards go up in the air, we will be bringing you regular updates on our live events page as well as recap articles to summarize the action with one simple, yet challenging task – to bring the flare of the EPT to you using wonders of modern technology!
