Today is the day! The record-breaking Eureka4 edition in Prague has reached its final day and play will commence soon. The final table has not been formed yet, as ten hopefuls will return, all looking to make their dreams come true. Of the ten, PokerStars qualifier Atanas Malinov has the most to lose, as he returns as the chip leader.

The Bulgarian player amassed a stack of 6,675,000 chips, giving him a huge advantage over Jonas Mackoff sitting in second place at just over 4 million. As for the rest, there aren’t any real short stacks, with most players in the 2.5 – 3.5 million region and it will be a quite tightly packed bunch when they return for the conclusion today.

To remind you once again, this year’s Main Event of Eureka in the Czech capital gathered a total of 1,738 – a number that many bigger and more prestigious tours would not look down upon. This number stands as proof of the ever-growing popularity of the Tour, demonstrating once again that PokerStars has a pretty good idea about what live tournament players look for (and forward to).

The big first place prize of €280,000 guarantees that those lucky enough to make it all the way through to the final table will not give their chips away easily. Although the minimum payout of €19,200 is already guaranteed, there are six-figure amounts awaiting the top three finishers and that’s what the remaining players are shooting for.

It is a colorful lineup, as the ten final players represent eight different countries, with Greece and Bulgaria having two representatives.

With the chip counts relatively close, we could be in for a long day today, but blinds start at 50,000/100,000/10,000, so play could get somewhat shallow within a few hours. Either way, the players will play as long as it takes before the new Eureka champion is crowned.
