Full Tilt Series of Online Poker will reach its conclusion this weekend, culminating in the $1,000,000 guaranteed Main Event. We brought you a short summary of all the events so far and we continue to do so in another FTOPS report.
The first multiday event, Event #2, fell just short of its guarantee. Event #17 started gathering registrations on Monday, and with $109 buyin and $300K guarantee, it will need to attract at least 3,000 players to avoid the overlay. It is currently at 1,242 entries and with four more Day 1 flights to go over the weekend, it could shatter the guarantee.
$215 Stud event attracted really small number of players, only 101, and thus failed to reach even its conservative guarantee of $25,000. The winner, iPhD took home $7,059 while the runner up RichieRichZH pocketed just shy of $6K.
Event #23, $109 6-max rebuy tournament, naturally created much bigger interest and 361 players created the prize pool of $104,500, shattering the $75K guarantee. Big prize pool meant big first place money, and winner donmsm padded his pockets with $24,800 with runner-up OBagre pocketing $15,838. Third place exposabre also walked away $11,566 richer.
4-handed No Limit Hold’em event also attracted a decent number of players, total of 321, generating the prize pool of $64,200. Lion’s share of that in form of $11,877 went to Maxxx72alba. As for the runner-up xxxCelticFCxxx he pocketed $8,410.
Omaha Eight event saw 213 players paying $109 buyin for their seat and, once again, $25K guarantee was not met. This is not such a big surprise considering that there aren’t as many players interested in non-Hold’em games, but probably still not something the organizers were counting on. Nevertheless, it was good outcome for Budnikov who earned $6,250 for his victory, while Beckersen81 finished in second, earning $4,112.
Event #26 was a fun one - $215 No Limit Omaha Hi / Lo and 238 player helped create the prize pool of 47,600. Winner, JMACARTHUR88, claimed $11,662 and runner-up ZbestZ also padded his pockets with some nice cash in form of $7,663.
Finally, Cedrick1 triumphed over 327 players in the $109 Rush Rebuy event and got $28,125 richer. Runner-up GoLeafsGoEh got $18,000 while Flush_GordoN90 took home $13,500 for his third place finish.
There are few more tournaments to be played out, but everybody’s eyes are set on the big one – the Main Event playing out on Sunday evening, that will see couple players walk away with six figures for sure.
