The Global Poker Eagle Cup has got off to a flying start with more than SC$500,000 landing in the pockets of the players. So far more than 20,000 different players have logged in to battle for real cash prizes in a fun and friendly atmosphere.

Halfway Through

The action kicked off on October 20 with an Opening Freeroll SC$5,000 GTD. Thousands of players entered aiming to get through to the final challenge - The Eagle Cup Tournament of Champions.

Already, more than 90 players have cemented their seat in the event where the top two finishers from each tournament of the Eagle Cup will duel it out for the plaudits on Sunday November 17 at 2 pm ET.

While there are still plenty of chances for players to stake their claim, time is running out and the pressure and excitement is increasing. There will be SC$10,000 guaranteed in prizes as well as a $5,000 valued Live Event Package

The winner will be representing Global Poker at a live poker event of their choice. A real chance to show what they are made of against world class opposition.

Texan Fernando ‘KanyeTrump2020’ Guerra won the same package in the Rattlesnake Open Tournament of Champions and chose to enter a World Poker Tour event in Jacksonville, Florida. Lady luck wasn’t smiling down on that day but he still put on a magnificent performance under great pressure.

Time will tell if he can put in a repeat performance. Anybody else that fancies their chances of playing in an event such as the World Poker Tour can register in one of the remaining tournaments over the next couple of weeks.

Lots More Going On

Even while the Global Poker Eagle Cup is going on, there is still plenty to get involved with. Tournaments starting from as little as SC$0.55 can be found for both NL Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.
