Fans of Jake Cody typically have only one complaint with regard to his vlogs - that he doesn't release enough of them!

That may change in the future as the PokerStars Team Pro has decided to seek outside help with the editing and production process, allowing Cody to concentrate more on what he does best, which is playing poker. The decision to outsource was made after the vlogger"lost a lot of footage" somehow while preparing his latest vlog, calling the incident a "complete disaster."

Panama Party

What wasn't a complete disaster was his trip to Panama for the PokerStars Championship.

"Panama was fu*king wild," Cody tells his viewers, and admits to enjoying a 5-day holiday after the poker playing portion of his trip had ended.

Unfortunately, subscribers don't get to see any action from that 5-day period and one wonders if that's the piece of film that Jake wasn't able to recover. What we do know is Cody needed time to decompress following his Panama sojourn, making viewers wish even more that some of that holiday footage was shown.

Hand Analysis

The vlog focuses mostly on the Panama trip, with Jake recapping a handful of hands played during the Main Event of the PokerStars Championship. Cody made it to Day 2 of the ME and things were looking up when he had a good read on one of his opponents, scooping pots with a pair of jacks and also catching a club flush on the river.

Viewers were treated to an explanation from Jake on the merits of changing your plan mid-hand when you recognize an opponent who can be exploited. There were additional tips put forth by Cody among the hands analyzed, valuable information for those of us wanting to improve our game.

However, Cody's run in the Main Event did not include an in the money finish. His undoing was losing to big slick while holding a lesser starting hand, a situation that tons of short-stacked tournament players have experienced many times before.

Min-Cash

Elimination in the ME was not the end of the story, as Cody managed to min-cash in a $2,200 NLHE event in Panama, grabbing a modest $3,080 for his 25th place finish. That tournament was won by Dzmitry Urbanovich, Party Poker's newest ambassador, who earned a payday of $61,460.

Since that min-cash in Panama, Cody has cashed three more times, the best of which was for 11th place in the $10K WPT Seminole Hard Rock Finale in Florida for $59,079. Upcoming vlogs may focus on that event, as well as a 14th place finish at the Party Poker Millions in Nottingham for more than $37K.

More recently, Jake fulfilled his ambassador duties by appearing at the PokerStars Championship in Monte Carlo. Another min-cash there for $5,414 will also likely be highlighted in a future vlog.

Admitting to going through "a tough couple of months," Cody has noticed in past vlogs that he's projected an image of being too serious. Insisting that he's not that type of person, he wants to "start having more fun" and promised his viewers that he will "show more fun in the vlog."

Your fans are ready for that, Jake.
