Dan “Jungleman” Cates has caused a stir on Twitter after polling his followers on whether he should start streaming online slots and other casino content. While Cates has no plans to leave the live poker scene, he has expressed an interest in expanding his repertoire to include "degenerate” gambling streaming.

Jungleman to Promote Degen Gambling?

It appears that opinion is divided on this idea, but most votes indicated that this would not be okay. Of the 715 respondents to Cates' Twitter poll, around 45% indicated that they would not be in favour of him streaming such content. Meanwhile, 36% gave their approval, 7% suggested he do it for charity, and 12% said it could be done infrequently.

The thread also featured a mixture of responses. One follower wrote that Cates should go for it if he genuinely enjoys it but avoid doing it for direct or indirect promotion. Another follower expressed unwavering support, declaring that they would watch anything that Jungleman does.

Another poster was more direct with his reply:

“Most gambling is degenerate gambling. Most people who play poker are lifetime losers. So most of your audience from poker is engaging in degenerate gambling on the poker table. At least if they emulate you choosing to be a degenerate, they'll have to be honest about it”

While it remains to be seen whether Cates will take up online slot streaming, it's clear that the majority of his followers have strong opinions on the idea.
