The comedian, massive movie star, and poker enthusiast Kevin Hart had a sit down with Jeff Gross to talk about Poker and life in general since COVID-19 began.

While you may associate Mr. Hart with always being the 'funny guy' as that is the persona he gives in a lot of interviews and portrays in his films, this interview provides a fantastic insight into the other thoughtful and caring side of him.

When asked for his history/thoughts on Poker, he gave the following answer, which almost everyone in the community can relate to;

"I realized that I could just sit here at this table and have a good time, with people that I didn't know. It's something that time just seems to pass whilst doing; it's harmless, you're outside of trouble, and the biggest enemy is your own mind."
That's what Poker is for the vast majority of people, a fun social game that you can play with either your friends in a friendly private home game or a casino with random people who come together for the love of the game.

Given that Kevin Hart is part of Team partypoker as one of their celebrity signings, he clarified his position in the said interview by saying;

"I don't just do things. I'm not a big fan of just attaching your name onto something. If I can't speak on something strongly, it's not my cup of tea."
While other celebrities would happily put their name to brands without knowing what they are/having an interest in them, you can see Kevin is genuinely passionate about Poker. Having someone with such a big reputation like him in the public eye, talking about Poker will only help the game grow as a whole.

Later on, after this discussion about the Poker side of things, Jeff Gross asked Kevin the following;

'What phase in your life are you in right now? Are you in your peak, or do you see yourself slowing down?'
To which Kevin replied;

"The goal for me is when I do decide to bow out, just to do it and be on top when it's done" he then continues by saying, "It's definitely getting to a point now, especially mentally where I go, this is it, I did it. I've achieved a lot, and I am very blessed, very fortunate. What's the ceiling I am looking for? Acknowledging whatever it is, getting that thing, and then being done."
What does this mean for Kevin in the future? Only he knows. While he may feel that he is getting to his 'ceiling,' I imagine we will have him in the poker community for many years to come.
