Live World Championship of OFC Poker to Debut in December

Fans of Open Face Chinese Poker (OFC) will be pleased to know that the first-ever live world championship will be held in December as part of the popular Prague Poker Festival.
Scheduled for Dec. 8-10 at King's Casino in Prague, Czech Republic, are two events hosted by TonyBet Poker. A €10,000 High Roller Open Face Chinese Pineapple with Re-entry will kick off on Dec. 8, while the €1,000 Main Event that features the same re-entry option will run from Dec. 9-10.
TonyBet Poker is the largest online poker site dedicated to OFC. It was launched by Tony G (Antanas Guoga), who has worn many hats in his 40 years that include poker pro, poker media website founder, and politician.
Open Face Chinese poker is a fun and exciting game, growing incredibly fast," said a TonyBet press release. "Being the biggest global OFC poker site, we decided to seize an opportunity and give some live action for the players. We are set to run the biggest live OFC event in history.”
Online players can win their entry to the OFC World Championship €1,000 Main Event via satellites running now at TonyBet Poker. Guaranteed seats to the tournament can be had by competing in leaderboard races, freerolls, and qualifiers priced at €10 and up.
“We have decided to run an ambitious €10K High Roller event as per request from our top regulars," the press release also stated. "We’re expecting this tournament to draw a lot of big names from the poker community."
OFC has proven to be quite popular among high stakes pros. Those pros who do make their way to Prague can expect to find plenty of OFC cash game action as well. The event is also being held to commemorate the one-year anniversary of TonyBet Poker.
