Louise Butler Joins Team PartyPoker Ladies

PartyPoker have expanded their pro roster by signing up Irish grinder Louise Butler as a Team Online Pro, joining Natalia Breviglieri, Kristen Bicknell and Beata Jambrik on their Team PartyPoker Ladies.

Announced in September, the Ladies team concept was designed ‘to give female poker players out there the opportunity to socialise and play poker with like-minded women from around the globe’ and Butler’s inclusion this week is the next step in the plan.

The Irishwoman stating of her appointment:

“I’m so excited to be a part of the PartyPoker team. I love the direction the company is going and I can’t wait to get involved in the creation of a regular schedule of events online for ladies.”

According to the site’s blog announcement, ‘Butler often plays between eight and 12 tables simultaneously during a typical poker tournament session and her system obviously works as is evident by her having more than $305,000 in tracked online winnings.’

Add to this a recent satellite success which saw her turn $109 into a $12K Caribbean Poker Party package and you can see why PartyPoker were keen to get her on the team…

It’s been 3 years since Butler transitioned to the pro ranks, having – like many others – discovered poker while at university – and now she regularly plays multi-table tournaments, cash games and sit & go tournaments online, and has recently branched out into live poker, scoring a couple of small live cashes in her native Ireland, including a 4th spot in the Irish Ladies Championship.

Pocketfives.com has Butler tracked with close to 3,100 cashes in online tournaments with a hugely impressive 157 wins, ranking her as number one Irish female poker player for online tournaments.

On PartyPoker she plays as ‘lou045’ and has $28,000 in winnings there so far and the team advises you to ‘keep an eye out for her whenever you hit the Power Series tournaments at PartyPoker’, and she’ll be ‘in action on the PartyPoker Twitch channel soon to get an insight into her winning strategies’.

First up for Butler as a PartyPoker Pro will be the $5 million guaranteed MILLIONS Main Event at the Caribbean Poker Party where she will meet up with all the other members of her new Team PartyPoker.
