It's not HU4Rollz, nor is it to settle any kind of simmering feud, but poker pros Joe Hachem and Michael Mizrachi will square off against each other heads-up for $5,000 to tout the Australian Poker Tour Grand Final series.
The winner take all contest will consist of three heads-up matches from October 26-28, with one match played each of the three days. The venue is Queensland, Australia at the Southport Sharks poker room. The 2018 Australian Poker Tour Grand Final is guaranteeing $200K+ in prize money.
Tournament Grinders
Hachem, winner of the 2005 WSOP Main Event for $7,500,000, is a Melbourne native who tops Australia's all time money list with $12,294,523 in live cashes. He just missed winning a second gold bracelet at the 2006 WSOP, finishing runner-up to Dutch Boyd in $2,500 Short Handed NLHE for $256,800.
Mizrachi, famously known as "The Grinder," has a poker resume equally as impressive as the Aussie, cashing for $16,995,553 in a career that includes four WSOP bracelets, three of those coming in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship. A PPC title is coveted among top pros, the tournament considered by many to be perhaps the highlight of the WSOP outside of the Main Event.
In the accompanying video posted by Hachem on Instagram, the Australian hints that the event will likely be live streamed. Look for details in the coming days. Or, head to the Land Down Under to watch it live.
