Mike Dentale’s Bathroom Botch-Job Sees Him up in Court!
5 years ago22 Apr
He’s better known to many as the musclebound poker pro who was bested by Cate Hall heads-up, but Mike ‘MikeyUnbelievable’ Dentale faced a non-poker audience this week – The People’s Court asked to resolve a dispute centred around a bathroom window and Japanese tiles!
Of course plenty of poker players have found themselves in court over the years, but Dentale’s brief moment of legal fame only cost him $350, Judge Marilyn Milian finding against him, although it appears he may still have found a decent ROI from the botched job…
The story first made the rounds on Reddit.com where one witty commenter wrote:
“Accuse(d) of making a “shitty bluff”.
Dentale, however, is a very decent poker player with close to $2million in live tournament cashes to his name according to the Hendon Mob database, his biggest single payday of $336,331 coming courtesy of a victory in the 2015 Borgata Fall Poker Open in Atlantic City.
The Brooklyn pro hit the headlines a couple of years ago when he faced off with Cate Hall in a heads-up grudge match following a Twitter beef that saw Dentale describe Hall as a “broke homeless crackhead” and a “cunt”.
Hall responded by calling Dentale a “pathetic sad sack” and then defeating her hulking opponent 2-0 when they finally met to settle their differences at the poker table.
For those wanting to watch Dentale in front of a judge and jury, episode 101 of the The People’s Court is where you’ll find it
