Phil Galfond Debuts On Twitch Poker

After many years producing many forms of poker content, Phil Galfond has decided to take a stab at poker Twitch streaming. 

He began the stream from his place in Nevada, playing PLO on WSOP.com. Being on the regulated site, he had no access to HUDs or any form of third-party software.

Galfond, a prolific poker video coach, is no stranger to talking poker on camera, but still needed time to get used to narrating his own action in real time. He never quite get over it, committing a few “sins” in broadcasting such as allowing for dead air at certain spots. 

However, the audience wasn’t there for his broadcasting skills but for his PLO knowledge, and on that front, he gave us quite the show. The hand everyone was talking about after the stream was over involved a great read that offered a perfect window into how Galfond looks at the game. All things considered, it was a great first stream for Galfond and a good experience for his fans. So can they expect to see more amazing plays on future Twitch streams?

Well, Arlie Shaban asked just that and Galfond didn’t seem too keen on the idea. 

Even if it’s just an occasional event, we now know that the next time Phil Galfond logs in to Twitch we’re in for great poker content.
