Notorious Vegas poker and blackjack grinder, Tony Bigcharles, has been arrested by police after posting murderous thoughts on his blog, a friend contacting casino security when he realised there was a chance Bigcharles might actually carry out his online threats.

In a deeply troubling and often vile racist and sexist personal outpouring, Bigcharles – also known as TBC and sevencard2003 - concluded his blog posting (entitled 'does anything matter anymore? and does it matter whether or not im alive or dead?') with the following disturbing lines:

“i see people out having a good time not a care in the world and i just wish they were dead and that i could be the one to arrange it, to do something which would get my name in the papers on TV forever like so many others have done.”

He followed it up with a now-deleted FB post threatening suicide and naming some of those he believes have been acting ‘immorally’…

…after which his friend and fellow blogger ‘Rakewell’ decided to take action, revealing on PokerGrump.com that:

"Tony has made threats of both suicide and violence against others before, of varying degrees of vagueness. But if memory serves, they've always been accompanied by disclaimers along the lines of, 'Of course I would never really do that,'" but adding: ‘It weighed on me that there was no such disclaimer in either of yesterday's alarming communications."

Rakewell explained:

"After stewing over Tony's blog post for an hour or so, I decided that I couldn't ignore it. Threatening to join the ranks of mass public killers is a line that one simply cannot cross. I decided to call security at the Hoover Dam Lodge, where I assumed Tony still was. I did that rather than calling police, reasoning that casino security are better than police at quietly taking somebody into a secure location."

What apparently happened next was that the Hoover security team involved the police who subsequently arrested Bigcharles and later charged him with ‘Make threat/ false info re: act of terrorism/wmd’ as shown on his sheet –about as serious a charge as there exists nowadays without actually ‘doing anything’ physically to hurt others.

‘Rakewell’ is naturally upset over having contacted the police about his friend’s threats, but feeling he had no other option available given the seriousness of BIgcharles’ blog and tweet, saying:

“In life, as in poker, all we can do is make the best decision possible with imperfect information and imperfect judgment, then let the cards fall where they may”.

Tony Bigcharles’ court appearance was scheduled for May 1st, according to Twitter posts.
