All players on the .COM/.EU platform will automatically be upgraded to the new software in the November client update. Players can manually revert back to PokerStars 6 via an option in the āSettingsā menu and, vice versa, can manually upgrade to Pokerstars7 via an option āTry Pokerstars 7ā menu.
Since August 2014 PokerStars 7 has been available as an opt-in upgrade. More than 120,000 players are currently enjoying many new player-friendly and innovative features that are not available on PokerStars 6.
Here are just some of the improvements and new features:
Improved Main Lobby - Easy-to-use lobby interface with a lot of intuitive filters that help players to find the games you are looking for.
Favorites - Save your custom filters to build a personal list of your favorite games.
New Tournament Lobby with Chip Graph - A very well redesigned tournament lobby with more tournament details and information, including a dynamic Chip Graph to keep track of your performance throughout each and every tournament
New Table Design - The new Mercury table has dozens of interface improvements to make game play easier, including a āHandsā tab in the chat area to give you a snapshot of recent hand results.
Live Events Map - An interactive map to help you find Live Events by geographic area.
Feature Guide - To highlight the new controls and functions in each lobby, so you can familiarize yourself with PokerStars 7.
Lee Jones, PokerStarsā Head of Poker Communications, said:
I am delighted to see PS7 coming out of its beta phase and becoming the default software for all players on our .COM and .EU sites. I have been using PS7 since it first peeked out of the development shop and itās a joy to use. Like all good software, this product has been through the wringer before weāve made it the default for our customers. Right now, 10-15% of the people playing on the .COM site are using PS7 - if that were a poker site on its own, it would be the second largest in the world! That means that all the unusual configurations and settings have been tested ā when you fire up PS7 youāll be running on a solid, well-tested piece of software. And I think youāre going to love it.
