PokerStars Live Casino Goes Global

According to a press release from PokerStars, a live casino feature has become available in numerous global markets. Following on the success of the product in Spain, the company has decided to extend this offering to a number of major markets around the world.
Unlike the usual casino games available online, live games offer an entirely different experience where players are able to not only enjoy the games in a fashion very similar to that in a real casino setting, but also to interact with the flesh and blood dealers. Apart from increasing the fun, this also adds another layer of trust, which is simply not present when players are playing against machines.
Live dealer games appeal to a broad array of players who enjoy the added level of authenticity and trust that comes from seeing the action occur in the analogue world. The partner company, Evolution Gaming, runs and operates the casino room in Riga, which will serve as the center of operations for the live games. For the time being, the games will be available via the Windows PokerStars 7 client, while the Mac OS and mobile devices will be coming along shortly.
When the live games first rolled out in the Spanish market, reactions from users were divided. While some believed that this could be a good thing for poker games as well, others were of the opinion that these innovations were shifting the focus away from what PokerStars has always been about ā offering the best online poker experience.
Some of the games offered in the live casino, apart from Roulette, include Blackjack, Baccarat and Casino Holdāem.
