PokerStars TCOOP in January Features $15 Million Guarantee

PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker, ever popular TCOOP, has become one of the must-play series for any serious online tournament grinder. In a press release from earlier today, the biggest online room in the world has announced the latest edition of the Series scheduled to start on January 22 and last until February 1.
PokerStars will start 2015 in style, as this time around TCOOP will feature 50 different events and a guaranteed prize pool of $15 million. This already huge guarantee will, no doubt, be shattered so online grinders will not be lacking action to get in shape for the long year ahead.

With fifty events on offer, there will be something for every taste and style of play. The only ones who will have to adapt are those accustomed to slow structures and deep stacks. TCOOP is all about playing fast and loose and rewards those who are ready to go for it instead of idly sitting around, waiting for good cards.
The flagship event of the Series is the $700 NLHE Main Event, taking place on February 1st. The event boasts a $2 million guarantee and the minimum of $300,000 for the winner. Online tournaments don’t get much bigger than this, so the event will probably see all the big names of online and live scene gather to play.
Another big one will be the $2,100 High Roller event, featuring the $1.25 million guarantee. While this one may be a bit rich for a majority of the players, it should attract the best of the best and speaking from the experience so far, these high rollers are usually real joy to rail.
Even those who love deep stack play will not be left for dry, as there is event #46 bringing you the 50,000 chip stacks to start with and the guaranteed prize pool of $500,000 – all this for a buy-in of just $215.

Those who make constant deep finishes and win some titles will be additionally awarded. Players will be accumulating points throughout TCOOP and the top 100 will receive the prizes.
The first prize is what everybody will be coveting, as it consists of the Champion’s Trophy and the $10k ticket for the SCOOP High Main Event. Second place will receive a $5,200 SCOOP ticket, 3rd-5th will take home $2,100 SCOOP tickets.
Those finishing 6th-10th will be awarded with $1,050 SCOOP Medium Main Event tickets, while everybody from 11th-100th place on the leaderboard will receive their SCOOP Low ME tickets worth $109.
