PokerTube Weekly: Exclusive Tournaments Recap

The first week of Pokertube exclusive tournaments is behind us now and it is time to take a look of who did what on the virtual felt. It was a lot of fun and excitement, both in terms of poker and the banter, and all tournaments t, both in terms of poker and the banter, and all tournaments were streamed and recorded with real-time commentary from our own Rory, adding even more to the fun side of the things.

DaBeear Bounty on Buzz

We had two DaBeear Bounty Events take place on Buzz poker platform on July 8th and July 10th. Rory was in a great mood for the first event bringing all sorts or relevant and irrelevant information to our respected audience.

The first bounty tournament had eighteen runners, with €45 for the first place finisher, plus the added €30 tournament token and there was, of course, added €30 bounty on DaBeear’s head, which everyone was chasing. It’s not only about the money though, eliminating Bear from one of these has always had added value which can’t be expressed in monetary terms.

DaBear was rocking his standard super-tight style, which got him to about five big blinds as levels progressed. Finally, he decided to jam with pocket fours from UTG and found (surprise-surprise) three callers. Despite of having the worst hand of the four, it was TheViktor with the old Ace-Deuce suited who binked two ducks on the flop to rake in a huge pot and claim the €30 bounty, sending DaBeear to the rail in 15th place.

TheViktor was able to bring his big stack all the way to the heads up, but ended up losing to roody17, eventually losing an all in with pocket Fives to roody’s Ace-Seven. So roody17 took home €45 + the €30 token for the Sunday event while TheViktor gets €27 + the DaBeear’s bounty. Third place of €18 went to mubamba, while good old FeknTuna1 claimed the most non-coveted title in all the pokers – that of a bubble boy.

If you’ve missed it, you can find the full recording of the July 8th tournament online.

The July 10th event saw somewhat smaller turnout, with sixteen players coming in for a Bear hunt. This time, DaBeear managed to stay in for a bit longer, but didn’t quite make it to the final table in this big field, as he was eliminated in 10th place. This time, it was Baggers who claimed the first prize of €42 and earning himself that €30 token as well, after defeating MeHow in the heads-up battle. MeHow earned €24 for his efforts. Third place, worth €16, went to Flopitza, while MakeAstand3 got to be the bubble boy this time.

Tournament recording is available as well on Pokertube.

There was another tournament that took place last night, and we will report on in the next edition of Pokertube Weekly, but it is still not too late to join the fun, as the last scheduled bounty event for this batch is taking place tomorrow (July 17th), so if you are in a mood for some hunting, still time to hop on.

William Hill League (€250 added)

The first of William Hill League events took place on Monday (July 14th). To remind you once again, this is a weekly league of €3 buyin tournaments with €250 added to the prize pool for every tournament and at the end of each month, those with most points will receive special prizes – Playstation 4 for the first place, iPad Mini for the second place, and €25 tourney tokens for the Sunday Special for place 3 – 10 on the leaderboard.

61 players gathered to play Texas Holdem, the most popular poker game, chasing the first place of €134 Euros and, even more importantly, the leaderboard points, as there is only one tournament left for July to determine the winner.

If you’ve played in the Pokertube events before, you will notice an important difference in terms of structure. Players start with 20,000 in chips, which is 200 big blinds deep, so there is really plenty of play for those involved.

Monday night was very good for CoopsAylt who was able to defeat ShaunDweeb in the heads up, taking home €134 and booking 15 points for the leaderboard. ShaunDweeb got €85 for his second place finish, together with 13 points, while RoddyMacneil17 finished in 3rd, for a payday of €59 and 11 leaderboard points. You can find the full standings and total earnings after the first tournament bellow.

1. CoopsAyIt 15 (€184)

2. ShaunDweeb 13 (€85)

3. RoddyMacneil17 11 (€59)

4. diravkapse 9 (€44.50)

5. tamtadadaa 7 (€32.50)

6 eriwess 5 (€22.30)

7. mihtralex 3 (€14.20)

8. MonkeyNutz247 1 (€14.20)

Here is the recording of the event, with commentary from Rory.

The next event is scheduled for Monday, July 28th at 20:00 and there is still time to get in the mix and fight it out for the first place. But even if you miss out on this one, remember that these events will be running until September, so there is plenty of time to get on top, plus there is €250 added in every single one of them, so plenty of reason to get involved.

Unibet Poker $100 Guaranteed

If you do not have an all new Unibet Poker account, this is a good time to get one.

See you on the felt!
