PokerTube Weekly: First Play Station Awarded, Ladbrokes League Heating Up

Summer days are quickly passing and although the weather may be so-so in majority of countries, there is certainly no heat lacking on the felt. PokerTube exclusive tournaments are in full swing, aiming to give you something extra to make your vacation at least a little bit better.

PokerTube Monthly League on William Hill

Second tournament of the sweet monthly league on William Hill took place on Monday, July 21st, and for the last week’s winner CoopsAylt, this was a very important event. With only three tournaments scheduled for this month, he could practically seal the deal with another deep finish.

The event gathered 48 players, and once again, for the buyin of just €3, they got to compete for the sweet first prize of €140 thanks to €250 added to the prize pool by William Hill – that’s a pure value right there.

I got to play this one as well, but finished in very unfortunate eight place (I believe six were ITM), but with the structure of 20,000 chips (200bb) to start with, it was really a lot of fun. But it was much more fun for CoopsAylt who all but secured his Play Station 4. He got to the final table and proceeded to finish in third spot.

He may have fallen a little short in this particular tournament, but he had Play Station 4 all but locked up, considering the first place finisher HiperSuper62 would have had to finish in 4th place last night just to tie for the first place. There were some other options as well, as the second place finisher from July 21st, Back2BackAA, could also come on top with the top two finish in the last event, just like ShaunDweeb who had the same shot.

So there were some possible combinations last night that could bring about a potential headache of determining what to do in the event of a tie. Luckily for CoopsAylt, these did not materialize, as non of the contenders were able to score a high enough finish and he will be locking up the Play Station 4 together with €200 that he earned for his first and third place finish in three tournaments.

ut the competition was seriously on for the second place and iPad mini, and this is where BettingAgain was able to sneak in from behind and seize the day. With nine points before the last night, he captured the victory and added another fifteen, bringing his total to 24 – more than enough to lock up the second place and earn himself the iPad mini. Add that to about €190 that he earned from the tournaments and you can be certain that someone will have a great summer!

The full standings for all the tournament token winners have not yet been updated, but more importantly – next Monday event counts towards August, which means you get to start with the clean slate and there will be total of four tournaments to determine the winner. Ladbrokes Super League

Second Ladbrokes & PokerTube Super League tournament took place on Tuesday, July 22nd. It was, as always, streamed by our own Rory, who actually seems to be running pretty well in these. Last week, he finished in third place and earned himself extra €30 while doing his job.

On the last Tuesday, he went even further and won the whole thing! That was another €85 to his name for €2 buyin and an event that had under thirty runners. Once again some sick value. Rory was able to defeat lucpuk in the heads up match when luckpuk’s top pair fell victim to Rory’s Ace high straight. The runner up finish was still good for €57.50, while the third place CrAzY29LP earned €34.50 for his efforts.
