This Weekend’s $1million Big Game Tops the partypoker Weekly News

partypoker’s most recent newsletter reveals that there’s some Big Game fun lined up for the site this weekend, with the return of their $1million guaranteed flagship monthly tournament – and there appears to be plenty more going on besides!

$1million Big Game this Sunday 28th April

Starting with the Big Game, the $5200 buy-in online tournament has switched to a Phased format, meaning there are $530 buy-in 'Phase 1' qualifiers available every evening, kicking off at 19:00 and 21:00 BST.

Not that you’ll have to fork out that much to take your seat, with satellite qualifiers running from just $1.10, a full schedule giving you the chance to potentially snare a massive ROI.

$30million GTD KO Series in May

Looking ahead to next month, the ever-popular KO Series returns with a $30million guarantee.

The PKO format used by partypoker has become a massive hit with players, as has the ‘no-rake’ approach to the bounty element - unrivalled value according to the guys and girls at the red diamond HQ.

Canada’s Kristen Bicknell charts her entry into the highroller tournament scene by dissecting three hand histories, and the insight into how a great player breaks down the play is well worth reading.

Her fellow Team partypoker pro Joni Jouhkimainen has been globetrotting for a while now and has decided to blog in English now rather than his native Finnish – good news for those of us who are ‘kauheaa muilla kielillä’’!

Over in Dublin, it was a Chinese-Irish win at the Irish Open Main Event, with Galway man Weijie ‘Jervi’ Zheng taking down the title and €300,000 at the partypoker-sponsored series.
