From all the material 2014 has brought us and for your reading and viewing pleasure, we've scoured many live tournaments, cash tables, movies, documentaries and interviews to bring you the top 10 poker moments of 2014 captured on camera.
10. Lakhov goes all-in with AJ against Gromov's AA at the WPT Cyprus 2014
When your opponent has pretty much all the chips and you're likely to be knocked out in a heads-up hand, going all-in with a decent AJ hand pre-flop makes complete sense. When Alexander Lakhov did just that at the WPT Cyprus 2014, Dmitry Gromov wasn't going to say no. A 95% favourite to win on the turn card, Gromov just needed a decent river to be crowned champion - but the card didn't fall in his favour and Lakhov began to claw his way back and eventually took the title.

9. Victoria Coren Mitchell wins second EPT title
In April at San Remo, Victoria Coren Mitchell became the first poker player to ever win two EPT titles when she bested the field after coming into the final as the short stack.
For Coren Mitchell, the journey to the final table was made possible thanks to impeccable timing with her chips, and she became the favourite when the table became just two players from the original eight. Calling QJ against Fundaro's AA, she was relieved to see a flop that took her hand to two pair, and her chance of victory from 14% to 73%.

8. Connor Drinan's million dollar bad beat
A bad beat is nothing new. When you've gone all-in with pocket aces against pocket aces after a million dollar buy-in, it would be normal to assume that both parties would split the pot. What happened next was surprising - and was even picked up by mainstream media.
Connor Drinan and Cary Katz must both have thought they were in for a share of the hand...when the unthinkable happened and both the flop and turn card make Katz' chances of a flush look likely. And on the river...it happened, and Drinan walked away with nothing.

7. Shark Cage bluff from Sara Chafak
Former Miss Finland winner Sara Chafak appeared on TV's Shark Cage, in which celebrities battle it out against poker pros for a cool $1m prize. In the first hand of the show, Chafak played a crazy bluff, raising a humble A2 with a pair of fours on the table. After convincing Ronnie Bardah to fold trips, she won the hand in spectacular - and unbelievable - style.

6. Crazy four way all-in at the 2014 Canada Cup
After 9 hours of play, the 2014 PokerStars Canada Poker Cup ended in spectacular fashion when the final four players went all-in. In the end it was Notkin's pocket kings that gave him the win, taking home a massive $354,379 after qualifying for just $30.

5. The battle between Lo Shing Fung and Paul Phua at the Aussie Millions 2014 Cash Game
What happens when Lo Shing Fung and Paul Phua go all in-in a head to head battle for a pot of around $1m? Plenty of entertainment, that's what! Lo goes all in with 7-8 suited, while Phua follows with his pocket 10s. A 10 on the flop and it's looking good for Phua...but on the turn card, Lo hits the straight and even tells Phua his hand. Cue plenty of entertaining banter while the hand is played out - and even a smile from Phua when he loses.

4. What are the odds? Straight flush vs. full house
This year's PokerStars Caribbean Adventure enjoyed a great battle between Vanessa Selbst and Christopher McClung on Day 1B, with Selbst finding a straight flush on the turn card and McClung achieving a full house on the river. After calling Selbst's all in, "sick" is the only word he has when her hand is revealed.

3. Thor Hansen wins Spirit of Poker Award
The Living Legend Award at the 2014 PokerListings Spirit of Poker Awards definitely went to a deserving winner. Norwegian Thor Hansen has been battling terminal cancer for the last three years, but hasn't been slowed down. Apparently, doctors are baffled by how resilient he is, but poker players likely are not. Hansen's still playing the odd final table and made it out to this year's Battle of Malta.

2. Daniel Negreanu reads Sammy Farha like a book
At times the poker table is more like a witness stand in a courtroom - and no more so than this great hand played between Daniel Negreanu and Sammy Farha. The former called with pocket eights, the latter with a suited A2 - and with QKK on the flop, it looked sure that Negreanu would win. His cross-examination of Farha was nothing short of amazing, with Farha folding on the river after Negreanu went all-in. Even more impressive, Antonio Esfandiari managed to call Negreanu's exact hand after Farha's fold.

1. Dan Colman wins ÂŁ15.3m at Big One for One Drop
With a $1m buy in, 42 players took part in this year's Big One for One Drop, all aiming to take home the big prize of $15.3m dollars.
In the end, the victor was Dan Colman, with the final table seeing six eliminations in just two hours. His heads-up victory came against Daniel Negreanu, whose two pair on the flop couldn't beat the straight that the river provided for Colman.
