Last week was marked by several big winners, all adding in excess of $600k to their respective bankrolls. Likewise, there were several big losers, led by Phil Ivey who left $600k+ at the tables. The German pro âTruetellerâ did not have the best of times either, having lost close to $450,000.
There was no break in action from the weekend, as the games continued on Monday. The highlight of the day was the match between Swedish phenom âIsildur1â and âRui Cao.' According to HighStakesDB, Rui âRui Caoâ Cao is a French PLO specialist originally from China who found poker in 2006. Although he has had limited success on the tournament circuit, Cao is best known as one of the high stakes regulars.
His Monday encounter with Blom proved to be a fruitful one for him, as he earned just shy of $240k to put him at the top of the daily winnersâ list. The two played 600 hands of $100/$200 PLO and things pretty much went Caoâs way all along.
Another six-figure winner on Monday was âzanyzeng,' who dominated the PLO tables at PokerStars. His total take for the day amounted to $128.6k. Ilari âIlari_FINâ Sahamies came ever so close to six-figure land, but ended the day with $99.7k added to his bankroll after taking on Dan Cates and Ben Tollerene at PokerStars.
Tuesday saw just one six-figure winner, as âHoldemJill9â made a $104k profit. Those winnings came from a HU 8-game match played against Phil âPolarazingâ Ivey that lasted about two hours. However, âPolarizingâ still finished the day up $40k after coming out on top in a very long 2-7 TD game against âtaktloss47â and âSanIker,'
Second on the winners' list was âbbvisbadformeâ with a profit of $82k, also coming from the $2k/$4k 2-7 TD tables. Ben âBen86â Tollerene added close to $62k to his roll as well.
Wednesday produced several six-figure winners led by JayP-AA, whose profit amounted to $165k. It was his performance at the PokerStars PLO tables against the likes of âJeans89â and âOdd_Oddsenâ that landed him in profitville.
Rui Cao was also back to his winning ways, adding another $140k for his efforts. This time he took on âthecortsterâ on Kibler-Melbyâs favorite playground â the 2-7 TD tables â and delivered a quick and painful punishment within an hour of play. On top of that, Cao won another $58k over at the PokerStars PLO tables, playing as âPepperoniF,' which brought his daily total into the vicinity of $200k.
Ike Haxton had a good Wednesday as well, as he took home $115k and change after taking on Doug âWCGRiderâ Polk for some HU PLO action on PokerStars.
The biggest daily win came on Thursday, as âbbvisbadformeâ was able to book a profit of $352k. He was able to hold his own in the biggest game available, $2k/$4k 2-7 TD featuring the likes of Phil âPolarizingâ Ivey, âTrueteller,â âSanIkerâ and some other usual suspects.
Another two winners from the game were Cort âthecortsterâ Kibler-Melby, who finished the day up $116k, and Phil Ivey, who booked a winning session to the tune of $108.5k. âOdd_Oddsenâ was the second biggest winner of the day, but he decided to steer clear of the 2-7 tables and instead took his battle to the PokerStars PLO action where he was able to make a profit of $116k.
After a little break on Friday, the tables were once again bursting with action on Saturday, with multiple six-figure winners led by âthecortster,â whose cashier balance increased by $259k. The Triple Draw tables were once again the place to be, but apart from âthcorster,' there were no huge winners there.
âHoldemJill9â was the second biggest winner of the day, with the entire $174k profit coming from an 8-game heads-up clash with Phil âPolarizingâ Ivey.
I
saac Haxtonâs game of choice was Pot Limit Omaha and after some decent action over at PokerStars, Ike banked close to $157k. The majority of that profit came from heads-up play against Ilari Sahamies. Another PLO winner on Saturday was Phil âMrSweets28â Galfond, who added $133k to his roll after dominating some ring games on Stars.
Finally, Sunday action was highlighted by âCarlooo13,' who topped the winnersâ list with a $347k profit. His winnings came from his encounter with Phil âPolarizingâ Ivey, who he met at the 8-game tables at Full Tilt. Despite that loss and a bad session against âHoldemJill9,' Ivey still managed to finish the day in the black thanks to some earlier wins.
Second on the list was âthecortster,' who banked $113k from his 2-7 TD adventures. Phil âMrSweets28â Galfond also had a six-figure day as he finished $104k to the good after a long and grueling 8-hour match against Doug âWCGRiderâ Polk.
Bling Blang Blaow
The title of the biggest winner for the past week goes to âHoldemJill9,' who finished the seven-day period just $1k shy of a $400,000 profit. A close second spot belongs to Rui Cao, whose winnings of $325k on Full Tilt combined with a $63k profit on PokerStars (PepperoniF) amount to $388k.
JayP-AA booked earnings of $286k.
Isaac âIke Haxtonâ Haxton had a good seven-day stretch as well, profiting to the tune of $287k, mostly from the PokerStars PLO games. Another PLO specialist, Phil âMrSweets28â Galfond, also finished the week in the black with a profit of $147k.
Both âcarloo13â and Cort âthecortsterâ Kilber-Melby had profitable weeks as well, finishing with $140k and $95k to their names, respectively.
German pro âTruetellerâ found himself once again on the other side of the line, as he finished the week with a $251k loss. Things did not go much better for Viktor âIsildur1â Blom, as the Swede dropped $247,000.
Phil Iveyâs downward spiral continued as well, although he lost only around $150k across the sites since the last report.
Doug âWCGRiderâ Polk dropped $95,000 as a result of his PLO clashes with Phil Galfond.
